The Forgefix Spectre™ product line incorporates a comprehensive range of advanced screw features, typically only found in premium screws, into a versatile multi-purpose wood screw. These screws are equipped with a countersunk, pozidrive compatible, recessed head, and are fully threaded up to 50mm, with a sawtooth thread to prevent splitting and a reamer to prevent jacking (50mm and above). Additionally, they are surface hardened with a quick start type 17 slash point.
Furthermore, these screws are finished with a zinc yellow passivated coating, which provides exceptional resistance to corrosion. The zinc yellow passivation process involves electroplating, similar to the 'galvanised' and 'zinc plated' processes, with the addition of a yellow dye. This process results in an aesthetically pleasing finish.
