Equipped with an electronic trigger system and unlock button for easy activation, the saw also features an LED display on the top handle showing both the operating status and chain brake position. Its strong power-to-weight ratio ensures low user fatigue, especially when paired with the AP 300 S battery, which counterbalances the guide bar for smoother handling.
Additional features include a washable air filter for extended service life and efficient cooling, side-mounted chain tensioning, tool-free oil tank cap, and a captive nut on the sprocket cover. It comes standard with a 1.3 mm 3/8” P PS3 saw chain and a Light P04 guide bar for high cutting efficiency. Like most tools in the AP System, the MSA 220 T is IPX4-rated for use in wet conditions. It offers up to 29 minutes of runtime with the AP 300 S battery or up to 34 minutes with the AP 500 S, though the latter slightly affects balance.
