Garden Fence and Gate Ideas

With so many varieties of garden gates and fence panels, it can be difficult to decide which one is right for your home. Not only are gates and fencing used to secure a space or mark boundaries, but they are also an important feature for framing your garden. To help inspire you, we have put together a few of our favourite garden gate and fencing styles …

Decorative fence panels and gates are the simplest way to make your fencing a little more interesting, while still providing privacy and security. The boards on these panels are arranged in a variety of patterns, from modern slatted versions like our Milano panels to more traditional screens.

We stock a number of decorative fencing options; choose the Madrid panel with its curved top and decorative pattern or the Milano for its unique look. Within this range we have included our very popular trellis-topped Sussex Wave . Trellis can be added to the top of our traditional fence panels to increase the height of your fence and is ideal for growing climbing plants. Using lattice panels and trellis are two great options for allowing plenty of air and light for an open style garden.

Whatever panel you choose we offer a range of matching gates, to complement your chosen fence.

Open pale or picket fencing is another favourite amongst rural homes as it’s quick and easy to erect. This classic design is pre-built with wooden pales attached to a horizontal batten for improved strength, with gaps left between the pales to let in the natural sun light. With a matching gate this will finish off this traditional fencing option.

Lap or Closeboard Fence Panels are our best-selling fence panels, manufactured in the UK, using high quality, heavy duty timber.  A lap panel has a simple horizontal slat design, whereas a closeboard panel offers a vertical slat design.  Their simple structure also means that they can be paired with any type of garden gate including our Babington or Priory Arch gate.

Whether it is a nice wooden picket fence and gate for your garden or something for additional security, we have all the components you require. Pop into a branch for more advice or order online today.
