Hardboard, also sometimes known as High Density Fibreboard (HDF), is a dense, engineered wood product that is ideal for use in furniture manufacture or as a temporary protection board in the construction industry. Other uses include a painting surface for oil & acrylic artists, an under-surface for vinyl flooring and is ideal for cabinet making as is easily covered with veneer to give a real wood effect.
