Our carcassing products, which are sourced from trusted manufacturers, are suitable for an array of structural projects. For example, our Regularised Carcassing timber has been processed to be used for floor joists, studwork and roofing, amongst other projects.
Since this type of timber has been kiln dried so that it has a specific moisture content, it will be stronger and more stable. As it is regularised, the focus is on the size rather than the smoothness of the finish, so you may notice some slight roughness. However, whatever the application, you can be sure that each piece will have a consistent size. As a result, it is neater and more visually pleasing.
The grading (C24) is most commonly used for floor and roof joists and stands as an assessment of structural strength. According to important building regulations, timber must be graded as such if it is going to be used in interior structural applications.
