Hanson Low Carbon Cement performs similarly to traditional CEM I cements but has significantly lower embodied CO2. It's suitable for use in all types of concrete, mortar, and grout, whether above or below ground, even in high sulfate environments. This cement is designated as CEM III/A +SR according to BS 8500, offering sulfate resistance for most conditions except class DC-4m. It also enhances chloride resistance, reduces sulfate damage, and lowers the risk of alkali-silica reaction, allowing the use of high-alkali reactivity aggregates.
