Yard Operative - Whetstone

The Group has grown rapidly over the last 2 years through a number of strategic acquisitions and we anticipate that we will add at least a further 8 to 10 Branches over the next 9 - 12 months.

The Role

Creating a friendly and welcoming environment by direct approach that encourages return custom to enable branch sales and margin growth.

Key Accountabilities… 

• Cultivate and maintain exceptional standards of customer service and ensure Lawsons Best Practice, Standards and Company Policies are met
• Assist in the company stock
• Ensure that stock is replenished, rotated and merchandised
• Maintain the yard to a high standard of tidiness and cleanliness
• Build rapport, be polite and courteous to customers
• Be vigilant to prevent loss of product by theft etc
• Be vigilant and report any Health & Safety issues to the Line Manager immediately

• Good product knowledge within the Industry (this can be trained)
• Professionalism and who will promote and adhere to the company's value’s
• Good interpersonal skills, confidence and ability to approach customers
• Basic literacy & numeracy skills
• Fluent in English (Verbal & Written)
