Lawsons is UK’s largest independent fencing, timber and builders’ merchants and now boasts 31 branches, 740 employees and £150 million turnover, founded in 1921 and operates across London and the South East of England. 

The Group has grown rapidly over the last 2 years through a number of strategic acquisitions and we anticipate that we will add at least a further 8 to 10 Branches over the next 9 - 12 months. 

Due to our continued growth we are looking for an Area Yard Foreman to support our West region in training and developing our Yard teams. The region includes supporting branches in South West London, Berkishire, Buckinghamshire and Hampshire.

The Role

Creating a friendly and welcoming environment by direct approach that encourages return custom to enable branch sales and margin growth.

Key Accountabilities… 

• Cultivate and maintain exceptional standards of customer service and ensure Lawsons Best Practice, Standards and Company Policies are met
• Assist in the company stock
• Ensure that stock is replenished, rotated and merchandised
• Maintain the yard to a high standard of tidiness and cleanliness
• Build rapport, be polite and courteous to customers
• Be vigilant to prevent loss or damage of product and vehicle
• Be vigilant and report any Health & Safety issues to the Line Manager immediately

• Basic literacy & numeracy skills
• Fluent in English (Verbal & Written)
